Restorative Aide

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Restorative Aide: 

  • Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors.
  • Follow work assignments, and/or work schedules in completing and performing your assigned tasks.
  • Attend care-planning meetings and be an active part of the nursing team.
  • Cooperate with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other facility personnel to ensure that nursing services can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
  • Report all complaints and grievances made by the resident.
  • Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals to your supervisor.
  • Familiarize yourself with the restorative care plan for each resident in your area of responsibility.
  • Provide care to those residents unable to care for or to be taught to care for themselves.
  • Assist residents participating in programs for re-motivation and/or sensory stimulation.
  • Assist residents with special feeding programs designed to promote independence and socially acceptable behavior.
  • Assist the residents by promoting independence in daily grooming, ambulation, range of motion and reality orientation.
  • Accept supervision and guidance as appropriate from PT, OT and ST.
  • Understand and perform the procedures involved in the treatment process.
  • Ensure that all restorative care notes are informative and descriptive of the treatment provided and of the resident’s response to the care.
  • Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational classes to maintain current certification as a Nursing Assistant. Attend and participate in scheduled orientation programs and activities, in advance directive in-service training programs as scheduled, and in annual OSHA and CDC in-service training programs for hazard communication, TB management, and bloodborne pathogens standard.



You would be a great fit for our team if you have the following:

  • Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of this state.
  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant, having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination, and must provide documentation of such certification upon application for the position.
